At our January assembly, we were honored to host Ms. SWOSU, Mia Macias, a Freshman from Leedey, OK, who delivered an inspiring message about homelessness. We celebrated our #GOALS students for their positive contributions, and we recognized two outstanding staff members—Mr. Perkins and Mrs. Pond—who received “cheers from peers” shout-outs. We are truly grateful for our dedicated staff and students.

Our WMS Student Council has started a Care Closet at school this year. We are sponsoring a Care Closet Challenge this month. We are challenging our student body and any others to help stock the closet! #WMSCareCloset
Congratulations to these Weatherford Middle School students for their outstanding performance at the SWOBDA All-Region Honor Band this weekend! After earning their spots through auditions in November, they dedicated two days to rehearsing for this concert. Their hard work paid off, and every performance was exceptional!
There will be a mandatory soccer parent meeting for 7th and 8th graders this coming Monday night in the HS cafeteria at 7:00 pm. This meeting is a "must" for any 7th and 8th grader (boy/girl) that will be playing soccer this school year.

This past weekend, some of our WMS band students had the privilege of participating in the Shortgrass Honor Band. After auditioning in December, they joined students from other schools to collaborate, learn new music, and prepare an outstanding concert in just two days! We are incredibly proud of their dedication and hard work!

This past weekend, two of our WMS students, Lily Barnwell and Kathryn Gunselman, had the privilege to participate in the OkCDA Junior High Allstate Junior High Chorus in Oklahoma City.
This choir is made of some of Oklahoma’s best junior high choir students, and to be selected, the students go through 2 rounds of auditions against over 3,000 students across Oklahoma.
