The first full week of school is here, and our activity schedule is kicking into gear!

If you're new to WMS, welcome! Each week we'll share a schedule like this to help keep you up to date on what's happening around the school. Our middle schoolers work hard both inside and outside the classroom, and we love celebrating and showcasing all they're accomplishing.

If your student has Ag 1st hour, they will report to the HS Ag Building at 7:45 each day, starting 8/13/26.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) is pleased to offer the SWOSU STEAM Dawg HOUSE Academy Summer Camp on Thursday, July 16, at the SWOSU Wellness Center in Weatherford. The one-day camp is designed for students who completed fifth or sixth grade in spring 2026 and will enter sixth or seventh grade in fall 2026. Participants will engage in hands-on activities focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) while working alongside SWOSU faculty, students, and community partners. Camp sessions will include activities such as Sports Lab and STEAM City Design, providing students opportunities to develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork in an engaging learning environment. Camp Details Date: Thursday, July 16 Location: SWOSU Wellness Center, Weatherford Check-in: 8:00–8:30 a.m. Camp Activities: Begin at 8:30 a.m. Pickup: 4:30–5:00 p.m. Cost: $25 per student Capacity: Limited to 30 students Registration Deadline: Wednesday, July 8 Lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided. Incoming 7th Graders: See info below about required immunizations or exemptions. You won't be able to get your schedule or start school without it!

Weatherford Public Schools will be providing FREE meals for children ages 0–18 every Thursday during the month of June! Be sure to take advantage of this great opportunity for our students and families this summer!

Attention 8th Grade parents: your student was given an order envelope for their promotion handshake photo! They can bring them to Promotion and given to Steve Wheeler. You can also fill out a blank envelope if you need to!

Our Lost & Found has an important announcement:

Your hoodie called… it misses you. So does that mystery water bottle you swore you’d come back for.

Check the lost & found before your stuff gets adopted by someone else (or donated after the last day of school).

The countdown is officially on… just 2 weeks until summer break! Finish strong, stay focused, and check out everything happening these last two weeks at WMS!

4/30 is the final day for 8th grade to pay dues, buy shirt, and submit pics for the class party. Please call Sarah Nicholas 580-302-1645 with questions.

7th and 8th grade will be testing on Monday and Wednesday this week! Please make sure chromebooks are charged tonight and Tuesday night!

Also, there's a lot of activities/events going on between now and the end of the school year, so please make sure to mark your calendars so that you don't miss anything!

A big thank you to Rick and Sheila Koch for bringing cookies for our staff today! It was the perfect treat to brighten a busy state testing day! We truly appreciate your kindness and support of our school staff!

Save the Date: WPS Physical Night is May 12th from 5-7 PM at the PAC. All student athletes are required to have a current physical to participate in school athletics! This physical will be good for the 26-27 school year.

Last Call: Before and after school tutoring is still available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays! Tutoring will be available this week and next week only. This is a great opportunity for one final push to get those grades up and finish strong!
